I'm trying to set up a non-producing node for my application to query data from the blockchain.

I started synchronizing since 3 days ago, however, only 5 million blocks have been downloaded so far.

It seems like blocks produced are faster than blocks being downloaded.

I used the peers from privex.io to synchronize with.

My hardware specifications are:

vCPU : 2

RAM : 8GB

Hard Disk: 100 GB

Any advice to speed up node synchronization?

Ask for a download link from a BP for a higher block number. Link for 7m+: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/blocks-nodeos/blocks.tar.gz

Up vote confused00 for providing better link: https://eosnode.tools/blocks

Even with the tar ball from eosnode.tools it takes forever to sync up. I am running nodeeos on a 32GB system and it went on for days. I even wrote a script to estimate how long it takes to sync up.
